Privacy Policy
This policy explains how The Dev Nomad ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use the BudgetCalendar marketing site, application, and support channels.
Last updated: October 26, 2026
1. Who we are
BudgetCalendar is a personal cash-flow calendar operated by The Dev Nomad. Our contact email is support@thedevnomad.com. Our operating jurisdiction is the Republic of the Philippines.
2. What this policy covers
It covers this website, the BudgetCalendar web application you sign in to, and messages you send to support. It does not cover Paddle, your email provider, or other sites we link to. Those services have their own policies.
3. Information we collect
Account and sign-in
- Email address and account identifier, through Supabase Auth.
- A session cookie on the application that keeps you signed in.
Workspace data you save
- Opening balance, income, expenses, amounts, categories, notes, and dates.
- Recurrence rules, skipped dates, and which occurrences you mark paid.
Billing
- A Paddle customer id and subscription status so we can tell whether your workspace is unlocked. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Paddle, as merchant of record, collects payment details, billing country, tax information, and transaction records under its own terms.
Support and site operation
- Name, email, topic, and message if you contact support.
- Technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and error reports, kept to run and protect the service.
We do not ask you to connect a bank, and we do not pull transactions from one.
4. How we use information
- To create your account and keep the session signed in.
- To store and show your cash-flow entries and forecasts.
- To decide whether a paid subscription is active.
- To answer support, refund, and privacy requests.
- To secure the service, debug failures, and meet legal duties.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. Legal bases
Where a privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of: performing the contract with you, our legitimate interests in securing and operating the service, a legal obligation, and consent where we ask for it.
6. Cookies
This marketing website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The application sets a strictly necessary session cookie so you stay signed in. You can block cookies in your browser; the application will not stay signed in if you do.
7. Who we share data with
- Supabase, for authentication and database hosting.
- Paddle, for checkout, tax, invoices, subscriptions, and buyer support. Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases.
- Our application host, to serve the site and the app.
- Our support inbox, when you send a message.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the service and our users, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. The buyer would have to honor this policy for existing data.
8. How long we keep it
- Workspace and account data: while your account is open, then deleted when we complete a deletion request.
- Billing records: Paddle keeps transaction records as merchant of record for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep the subscription status linked to your account while it is relevant.
- Support messages: long enough to resolve the request and keep a record of what we agreed.
- Security logs: for a limited period based on operational need.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, authenticated access, and row-level access controls so one account cannot read another account's rows. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
10. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires a transfer tool, we use one. You can contact us for more detail about a specific request.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account data, as described on the data deletion page.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a portable copy where the law provides that right.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Email support@thedevnomad.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm it is you before we act.
12. Children
BudgetCalendar is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We will post updates on this page and change the date above. If a change materially affects how we use account data, we will give additional notice when the law requires it.
14. Contact
Privacy questions and requests go to support@thedevnomad.com. BudgetCalendar is operated by The Dev Nomad.
