Terms and Conditions

These terms are a contract between you and The Dev Nomad for use of BudgetCalendar. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Last updated: October 26, 2026

1. The service

BudgetCalendar is a personal web application for planning income, bills, and a running balance on a calendar. You enter your own figures. The service does not connect to your bank, move money, or provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must give a real email address and keep it current. One person, one account. You are responsible for activity under that account.

3. Your entries

You keep ownership of the income, bills, and notes you save. You give us a limited license to host, display, and back up that data so the service can run. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Forecasts are calculated from those entries and can be wrong if the entries are wrong.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use the service to do so.
  • Try to access another person’s account or our infrastructure without permission.
  • Probe, scan, or overload the service.
  • Copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service, except where the law does not allow that limit.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to store.

5. Plans and price

The paid plan is Pro at $9 USD per month, plus tax. That price is also shown on the pricing page. If those two ever disagree, the price presented by Paddle at checkout is the price you pay, and we will correct this page.

There is no free trial unless the checkout screen says there is one. If a trial is offered, paid billing starts when it ends unless you cancel before then. A trial still counts as access to the workspace.

The subscription renews each month until you cancel.

6. Paddle is the seller of record

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (or its relevant Paddle entity), who acts as merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, sales tax or VAT, invoices, and the buyer receipt. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, which are shown at checkout. We do not store your full card number.

7. Cancellation

You can cancel from the billing portal in the app. Cancellation stops the next renewal. If you cancel at the end of the current period, you keep access until that period ends. If a subscription is ended immediately, access ends the next time the app checks it.

Deleting entries inside the app does not cancel the subscription.

8. Refunds

Refunds are described in the refund policy, which is part of these terms. In short: you may request a full refund of the first charge within 14 days, and mandatory consumer rights still apply. Paddle processes the payment, so an approved refund is issued by Paddle.

9. Our intellectual property

The BudgetCalendar name, interface, and software are ours or our licensors'. These terms do not sell you a copy of the software. They let you use the hosted service while your subscription allows it.

10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service available, and we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, cancel and stop using the service.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. Calendar balances are informational. They are not a bank balance and not professional advice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify The Dev Nomad against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your entries, your misuse of the service, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused the claim.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates a security risk, or is required to be closed by law. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity — survive termination.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live. Courts in that operating jurisdiction may hear disputes, except where a consumer law lets you bring a claim in your home courts.
